I built The Artist Ledger for a specific person: someone brilliant at what they make or do, who feels completely lost the moment the conversation turns to money. Confused by their own numbers. Stressed about taxes. Quietly ashamed that they don’t already understand it all.
I want to say this plainly, because I mean it: that feeling is not a sign you’re bad at business. It’s just that the money side was never explained to you in a way that made sense. There’s no shame in not knowing something no one taught you — and once you do understand it, everything gets lighter.

Most of the people I work with come to me carrying the same weight. They’re overwhelmed. They’re stressed about money in a way that follows them around. They’re confused by their own business — and underneath all of it, a little embarrassed, like everyone else got handed a manual they somehow missed.
Here’s what I’ve come to understand: they’re stuck in a loop that quietly works against them. Pricing that doesn’t cover what things actually cost. No plan for taxes until taxes are due. Business money and life money tangled together until no one can tell what’s really being made. None of it is a character flaw. It’s just a set of connections nobody ever walked them through.
